How it works The following steps outline the relative roles for each of the participating stakeholders in the easyLearning program: - Corporations and foundations provide funding for easyLearning to sponsor student-initiated learning of sustainable skills in IT, Desktop and Professional Development. These funds will be used to purchase pre-paid easyLearning cards. Alternatively, students may also purchase pre-paid easyLearning cards from their local merchant at nominal prices.
- easyLearning Cards will be created and distributed by easyLearning and its partners.
- Students will purchase these easyLearning Cards from their local merchants at nominal prices
- or get them free (if sponsored)
- Using the PIN code on the easyLearning Card, students can register into the system by visiting the web address on the back of the card.
- Students make their course selection from easyLearning's catalog and launch/download their course.
- Upon successful completion of the course, students are awarded with a certificate of achievement.
Course Encryption In addressing piracy and low bandwidth issues, Serebra has developed an innovative technology called Synapse, enabling courseware encryption and download methodologies. Synapse allows students to experience cost-effective eLearning connections, straightforward log-in procedures and timely courseware delivery. - Courseware Compression :Synapse's courseware compression technology dramatically reduces storage and communication costs by transforming data of a given format, to data of a smaller sized format.
- Course Encryption: Advanced anti-hacking and copy protection technologies allow the use of Serebra's courseware executables, preventing unauthorized access, duplication or reverse engineering.
- Flexible Delivery: Developed to address a broader range of technical needs, Synapse supports two different delivery methods. Students can either download courseware to a hard drive or access the same content on-line.
